What do your resume and the rash of Black Friday email sales promotions have in common?

The content may be different, but they all say the same thing.

Sale, sale, sale.  Discount, discount, discount.  Buy, buy, buy.

Meanwhile, I keep looking for the answer to the question, why, why, why?

Companies don’t hire stuff on sale. Good companies hire value-based solutions. Smart employers focus on your “why.”

If you submit a generic resume that does not focus on their needs then your resume’s scan score will not pass the minimum threshold, and you will be left wasting your time asking:  why, why, why?

It is astounding how many applicants fail to put in the extra effort to stand out.

Standing out, differentiating yourself from other applicants is critical to success.
