1. Develop a career plan.  I was with a group of career coaches recently.  The consensus view is that today not having a plan is career suicide. Technology – automated AI — is dramatically changing the job market. Without a plan, you will suffer.
  2. Build a robust online profile emphasizing your successes. This will be necessary to be visible to recruiters, or more accurately, their automated applicant sourcing programs. Yes, you heard me. Computers are taking over. Without self-promotion you will become invisible.
  3. Build a professional network based on your career plan. If you do not people who are willing to introduce you to an organization, you will lose out.
