The predicted layoff cycle has begun, according to Business Insider.  

The cracks in the robust employment market begin to show earlier this year.  Now, according to, the number is up to 40,000 and growing. 

Workforce data provider Revelio Labs says if you are in one of these four groups, you may be at risk

  1. Recent hires.  Last in, first out.
  2. High earners.  If you profited from the Great Resignation, it is time to think about “what if.”
  3. Millennials.  This cohort represents 79 percent of the recent layoffs.
  4. Recruiters. This one is obvious
