The Covid-19 pandemic disrupted career management and outplacement-job transition coaching business models. Employees laid off in the slowing economy were reluctant to shell out standard fees, from $2,000 to $25,000, for help. Corporations, which historically had paid outplacement fees, reduced or eliminated that benefit.
