Do not confuse your brand and your reputation. They are not the same. You buy or manage a brand, but you can only influence your reputation. Your reputation is shaped by your actions — your decisions and how you treat people. You cannot act irresponsibly or treat people poorly and then act as if your reputation is without fault. Your reputation lies in the eyes of every stakeholder.
