As the pandemic’s grip appears to be diminishing, we recommend that you once again take advantage of in-person networking events, if not nationally, certainly on a local and regional basis whenever possible.
These events can support the development of trust relationships.
When you can attend any networking meeting, reach out to existing connections you might expect to attend. Arrange for one-on-one time for a coffee, lunch, or perhaps a drink before the evening’s activities.
When you can connect, remember to be a good listener. Do not make the conversations about you. This interaction with active listening usually yields information vital to enhancing the relationship. Follow up with a personal note. Online with a service like Paperless post or with a card through the mail, your goal is to make a favorable impression.
