Building trust with online connections is a tricky proposition in an arena filled with too many bad actors – scammers and fraudsters. It is all about building trust.

First, you must do your homework on your connections. You must add value. But you must also check your self-interest at the front door.

What tools are the most effective? A good question for which there is no one simple answer.   If you know anything about digital marketing, you will get understand.

Your approach and messaging will vary from contact to contact, but adding value is the most critical objective. Some may respond to emails, others video or audio messages. Others may respond better to an actual conversation.

The key to success is to engage with a variety of approaches. Pay attention to their responses, “listen” carefully. That is your best way forward.
