- How long should my resume be? One page should suffice if you are a new graduate with limited work experience. If you are more experienced, the length should be commensurate with your experience and the extent of your accomplishments.
- Should I include my address on my resume? There are two schools of thought. I fall into the yes category. Some old versions of Applicant Tracking Systems, those machine scanning systems that read most online resume submissions, could reject your resume without an address. Be safe, not sorry.
- Should I include a cover letter? If you are submitting online, do not include a cover letter unless directed to do so. You do not want to attach anything that could confuse the ATS resume scanner, eliminating your resume.
