PRODUCER’S NOTE

We have all heard about the Great Resignation—millions of Americans have quit their jobs over the past eight months.  While many quit low-paying, toxic jobs in the hospitality industry, others in middle management decided they would test their value in the job market, and many got better-paying jobs.

Anthony Klotz, a Texas A&M University psychologist who predicted and coined the phrase The Great resignation in May, said workers at all levels are having pandemic epiphanies – they sense there is a better alternative for their careers and lives.

Today’s job market favors those who are leaving to find a better deal.

But what the market giveth, it will eventually take away.

Today John looks to the not too distant future when the evolution of technology and a changing competitive environment will impact who and when career changes will be a good idea.
