Here are three tips to enhance your resume:
1. Never mix scope of responsibility statements with your dot-point accomplishments. You should describe your scope of responsibility in conjunction with your title.
2. When using percentages to tout an accomplishment, use a baseline reference. For example, increasing sales by 120 percent on $50,000 is OK, but 120% on sales of $10 million is more impressive.
3. Use before and after comparisons to describe your performance whenever possible. If you turned around a struggling department or division, using Before metrics in contrast with After results send a compelling message that you are a strong leader who produces results.
