On Monday, I spoke about the importance of being flexible in a job search.
On Tuesday, I said that patience was equally important. Getting impatient and angry with the process will not accelerate finding a job. If anything, it will probably generate unforced mistakes.
Today I want to share my thoughts on the importance of having confidence when you are talking to recruiters or prospective employers.
The foundation for confidence is gratitude. Begin each day journaling three things for which you are grateful. The next level for building trust is preparation – researching the prospective employer, understanding their needs for your job, and then thinking about commonly asked questions, questions you might ask if you were conducting the interview. Be prepared. Preparation will fuel your confidence.
