When you are looking for a job, there is an interesting dynamic at play.  You want — you really need — to understand the pros and cons of a particular job and the organization, but virtually every job applicant I have met is reluctant to ask the questions that might shed light on the central question. 

They simply don’t want to be confrontational and risk losing the job.
