The Double Standard of Communication

Posted July 19th, 2016 | Author: John G. Self

Here is the rundown for Tuesday’s podcast:

John focuses on the semi-official start to the presidential campaign, that noisy, truth-challenged moment in our history where every four years grown men and women can say the most blatantly untrue things and get a free pass…at the ballot box. In this campaign, the bar for being truthful for both of the major national candidates seems to be drifting below sea level.

Business leaders don’t have that level of flexibility on the trusty old truth meter.   The good leaders know they are held to a higher standard.  They establish their base of integrity in what they say, and how they say it.  They do not get to pivot when they want to disregard their moral compass.
