Many do not make it past the initial resume screening phase.  Recruiting, especially for large organizations, is less about hiring the best people and more about the efficiency of the talent acquisition process and avoiding a hiring mistake.

Even if you make it past the Applicant Tracking Systems, more commonly derided as ATS –Applicant Tossing Systems – how you interview– has also dramatically changed. This is where most people screw things up.
