For emerging executives — early careerists –Onboarding guru George Bradt’s blog today at “Better Results Faster” is spot on.

As I interview young executives, I frequently hear them talk about the mistakes they made early in their careers when challenging the corporate conventional wisdom or those strategic decisions that seem wrong.  “Relationships Are More Important Than Being Right When Obboarding”  is a valuable read.  George provides a first-person illustration how young executives can respond.

A very important takeaway:

“If the other person changes his or her mind, great.  If not, do it their way.  Any argument you win in your early days is likely to be a Pyrrhic victory.  Instead of trying to win, find ways to help others be right, get right or stay right.”

Relationships are more Important than being Right when Onboarding.
