Hello.  To say I am glad to be back with GotAMinute would be an understatement.

Procrastination, someone once said, is the art of keeping up with yesterday.

Oscar Wilde was fond of saying, “I never put off tomorrow what I can do the day after.”

In thinking and reading about procrastination, I encountered this definition:

“Tomorrow is a noun, for that mystical land where 99 percent of all human productivity, motivation, and achievement is stored.”

By putting stuff off, we reason, lamely, that we will be more experienced and more likely to succeed when we finally take on that challenge.

And so it goes with our careers, from planning to professional networking, we put off doing those things that we do not like to do, thinking there is always tomorrow.

Before you lock into that concept as absolute truth, remember this: None of us has as much time as we think.
