When you are in the market for another job, or you are being recruited for that next better job, you need to pay attention to the prospective employer’s hiring brand, their reputation in successfully recruiting new employees. 

This is vital because it is reflective of the organization’s true values.   

If the recruiting process is not working well – poor communication and follow-up and missed deadlines – that provides you a picture window into their leadership and how the business runs on a day-to-day basis.  If they cannot do that basic process effectively, it is fair to ask yourself how that senior team will perform in times of crisis when flawless execution is essential?

 Talent acquisition works best when the recruiters and support staff are focused on your success and your long-term satisfaction and how that will benefit the organization. At any point during your candidacy that you feel like recruiting inventory, it is probably a good time to walk away and avoid a costly employment mistake.
