Thanksgiving 2009 comes at an interesting time for the healthcare industry.

We come to this holiday at a time of indecision and concern for the future of our industry. Congress is working on a healthcare reform plan that could significantly change our professional lives. Thousands of our colleagues are out of work, the victims of the Great Recession and a jobless recovery.

But we are a nation and an industry ever hopeful and eternally thankful.

So as we move forward to a day of Thanksgiving, my colleagues at JohnMarch Partners join me in wishing you, your family and your colleagues a rewarding and peaceful day of rest and reflection. And of course, a wonderful dinner and…football.

We are optimistic about the future of our country and the healthcare industry because of our confidence in the values of our nation and the devotion of those workers who strive to provide care for those who are ill or injured. We will face challenges and setbacks, but this is a time of change. With change comes invention and innovation. And opportunity.

There is still so much for which to be thankful.
