USMD Arlington Chief Nursing Officer

USMD HOSPITAL AT ARLINGTON –
Chief Nursing Officer

Location: Arlington, TX

This search required a nursing executive familiar with surgical specialty hospitals with a desire to work for one of the leaders in this industry segment.

We were seeking an innovative nursing executive with 10 years of experience as a nursing manager, three years of experience as a CNO or senior leader with similar responsibilities, in an acute care hospital with 25 to 100 beds, more than 15 employees and an expense budget of $1.75 million.  Prior experience in a physician-led surgical specialty hospital was preferred.

The successful candidate had to possess a depth of knowledge of regulatory compliance, including but not limited to Joint Commission standards for accreditation as well as Medicare’s Condition for Participation.  Previous experience in an organization with Magnet status for nursing was preferred.

The successful candidate would hold a master’s degree in nursing and have a verifiable record of accomplishment in leading clinical teams that provide exceptional quality of care with strong patient/family/physician satisfaction scores and a record of fiscal stewardship.  This is a close-knit organization with a strong culture.
