JohnGSelf + Partners is pleased to announce the completion of its assignment to recruit a new Chief Executive Officer for Johnson Regional Medical Center (JRMC), a 100-bed community hospital in Clarksville, AR.
Michael A. Dorsey, FACHE, of Olathe Kansas, has been selected by the JRMC Board of Directors after an extensive nationwide search coordinated by the Firm’s Managing Partner, John G. Self.
Mr. Dorsey previously served as Chief Executive Officer of St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City and St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO, both members of the Carondelet Health System. Mr. Dorsey left Carondelet when the two hospitals were sold to Ontario, CA.- based Prime Healthcare Services.
Mr. Dorsey has more than 21 years of senior leadership experience in hospitals ranging in size from 75 to 325 beds.
“The board is pleased that we have been able to attract someone with Mike’s diverse experience and record of accomplishment,” said Chris Allen, Chair of the JRMC board. “What impressed us was his passion for working in a community-owned hospital that has strong ties with the community. His overall vision aligns well with the board, medical staff and our employees,” Mr. Allen explained.
In addition to conducting the search, the Firm will be coordinating a comprehensive onboarding program for Mr. Dorsey.
